New Devices page, OBS sources, and improved editor controls
Devices brings your screen assignments into one page. Add a monitor, USB screen, phone, or tablet, choose a layout from its preview, and turn it on. Assignments, rotation, and connection details stay together here.
Monitors can show a dashboard or an overlay scene. To use a phone or tablet, scan its pairing code and choose a dashboard in Sim Kit. Paired screens follow your assignment and refresh when an update is ready.
Direct output to your wheel
Sim Kit can now send dashboards directly to supported VoCore screens, including the screen in a GSI wheel. SimHub can keep controlling the wheel's LEDs while Sim Kit handles the display. You can also add a SimHub device and let SimHub render its dashboard instead.
Your layouts in OBS
Install the plugin from Integrations > OBS, then add a Sim Kit source in OBS. Choose a dashboard or overlay from its layout list to put it in your scene.
Video works in the other direction too. An OBS video widget follows the selected OBS scene on your dashboards, overlays, and paired screens. It uses the plugin, so you no longer need Virtual Camera or an open projector window.
A more consistent editor
Data sources, typography, colors, backgrounds, borders, and shadows now use the same controls across the editors. Search for a reading, set its appearance, and reset an individual setting without clearing the rest of your work.
Undo and Redo apply only to the current layout. Arrow keys move selected dashboard widgets, and saves skip unchanged documents. Reusable widgets can also contain nested layers.
This is part of an ongoing editor cleanup. More to come.
Fixes
- Conditions Visibility and timed actions follow live data, with active flag screens taking priority over other matching screens.
- Timing Corrected remaining-time and remaining-lap estimates.
- Telemetry Background opacity now applies to the whole telemetry panel.
- Graphs Short ABS and traction-control activations stay visible on pedal traces.
- Steering Fixed missing car-specific wheel artwork on customer installations, including custom iRacing install locations.
- iRacing Corrected session text decoding for accented names and other non-English characters.
- Backups Stalled cloud backups recover automatically or report when they need attention.
Improvements
- Tables Set individual column widths and show estimated competitor sector results, with adjustable sector-square sizes.
- Ratings SR and iRating columns keep their width as values update.
- Timing Added lap times and delta references that include laps with incidents. Lap and sector results remain visible between sessions.
- Track maps Maps can update independently of the app. Corner labels have clearer connections, and sector boundaries follow the current session.
- Idle screens Use visibility conditions to keep a dashboard such as Stream Sidecar showing its normal content without iRacing running.
- Backgrounds Added carbon weave, aero flow, heat haze, track contours, and checkered flag effects. Idle images also have DVD bounce, CRT, and corner-hit effects.
- Desktop Added a configurable global overlay shortcut and a launch-with-Windows setting.
- Performance Reduced text-layout work in overlays. Library previews load as you browse, and backups wait during races.
- Updates Sim Kit automatically removes old downloaded installers and inactive app versions.
