Recover your dashboards, overlays, themes and custom widgets from an earlier cloud backup. Profiles & backups in Settings shows completed recovery points and lets you review what will change before restoring.
Cloud backup is rolling out to invited Alpha and Pro accounts. After the first-upload notice, saved configurations and their images upload when editing has stopped. Editing and local saving continue while the backup uploads. Turn automatic backup off at any time, or choose Back up now.
Restore into a separate library to keep your current configuration, or replace it with the recovered version. Libraries have readable names, and you can rename them to keep their histories easy to find. Portable import and export stay alongside your profiles.
More in this release
- Music: Show the song, artist and album artwork from Windows now playing on this PC.
- OBS: Add a silent OBS Virtual Camera preview, show stream and recording status, or use OBS audio levels in a gauge.
- Conditions: Hide an entire widget, including its frame. Use live data to change a widget's background or draw its perimeter border.
- Themes: Set palettes of up to ten class colors and ten sector colors in the theme builder.
- Mirror: Choose separate backgrounds for the left and right spotter areas.
- Integrations: Find connected services in the Integrations directory and on Home, with connected status shown in green.
- Updates: Staged updates can install while Sim Kit is open and idle, outside an active session. Editor changes are saved before restarting.
- Tires: Use theme colors for tire compound readings and badges.
Fixes
- Overlays Fixed startup with software rendering and scene centering between grid lines.
- Backups Status checks no longer interrupt a long-running upload.
- Dashboards Theme changes reach open displays while live race data is running.
- Dashboards Saving can finish beyond the usual request timeout.
- Dashboards Open displays recover when their shared data connection stops updating.
- Steering Current-car wheel artwork retries after a failed load.
- Telemetry Brake traces stay visible in front of overlapping throttle traces.
- Widgets Grouped previews keep their children visible. Pit-service readings no longer resize against their own height.
- Community Theme previews update without the earlier lag. Cards keep their full height as the catalog scrolls, so titles and actions stay visible.
- Sharing Publishing completes when it overlaps a sign-in refresh, and reports a failure if the refresh cannot finish.
- Home Existing layouts are recognized without an onboarding record. Postponed setup stays postponed across navigation and reloads.
- Updates Windows shortcuts keep opening the active installed version after an update.
- Integrations Music, OBS and chat subscriptions release their resources when they stop, with recovery for stalled connections.
Improvements
- Settings See cloud storage use, backup status and the last completed recovery point when backup is available. Status updates in place while uploads run.
- Settings Profiles, local libraries and cloud history have clearer spacing and aligned controls. YAML stays under View YAML.
- Profiles A saved-profile notice explains where to download the local copy made before an update.
- Menus Choices use alphabetical order, with Sample widgets kept first in theme previews.
- Themes Preview widgets at readable sizes. Font heights are calibrated across families, and Futuristic's shared palette controls save correctly.
- Community Preview cards use sharper images, and usage counts include each creator only once.
- Community Browsing keeps cached results and steady loading placeholders. Category navigation returns to the previous browsing position.
- Sharing The separate Community license checkbox and notice are removed. Choosing Share applies the existing Terms.
- Integrations Connection guidance explains when OBS must be open and SimHub must be closed for installation.
- Conditions Appearance actions use the shared Then label, with the redundant rule-mode selector removed.
